We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at Te Whare Ako. Hard materials Technology teacher
We are seeking a highly skilled, professional, compassionate and committed teacher with a passion for, and strength in hard materials technology to join our highly successful team.
This is the ideal position for a teacher who enjoys working with ākonga to develop practical skills, problem solving and creativity, in a ‘state of the art’ workshop environment.
Understanding of the technology curriculum, practical skills in woodwork, potentially digital technology and an ability to differentiate learning for beginners through extension groups, is required. Knowledge and understanding of workshop health and safety is also a must; as is the successful candidate’s ability to multitask and manage a complex, busy classroom environment.
We are also looking for a teacher with strong classroom management, a passion for their subject who is committed to PB4L/Restorative Practices and the willingness to contribute to the specialist team and wider school. This teacher will have knowledge of vocational pathways and will prepared to be involved in our highly successful construction school and other innovative programmes at Mana College.
Our specialist Technology hub will be finished in April 2025, so this is an exciting opportunity for our new hard materials kaiako to move into a brand new environment in 2025.
This position may include teaching a class in another subject area. Please state second subject.
Hauora Co-ordinator
A once in a lifetime opportunity awaits with a position that does not come up in the secondary school environment regularly!

This highly successful model runs on the basis that the coordinator is able to work collaboratively with senior leadership, staff, year level deans, support staff whānau, and importantly outside agencies to triage, plan and support the needs of young people and their families.
The dispositions on the Job Description speak to a unique individual who will understand the school community and approach the school’s diverse community from a respectful, strength-based perspective (not deficit based).
