Culture
Supportive and Inclusive Community
The cultural programme at Mana College is a valued part of our school. We aim to develop ākonga holistically and our cultural programme contributes, significantly, to this.
Our Whakapapa
Supportive and inclusive community
Kapa haka, Cook Island group, and the Samoan group are the beating heart of our school and are complimented by a bi-annual production along with many music groups and performances.
The annual Te Kiwa Nui Festival is the highlight of the cultural calendar at Mana College. Along with the other Porirua secondary schools, Mana College cultural groups perform to create what is a spectacular evening showcasing many talents across many cultures. A night not to be missed!
We also love to celebrate the many varied cultures and identities through the language weeks here at Mana.
“I always look forward to the activities and events we have on during the different language weeks, especially seeing the everyone taking part – it is as much about learning and developing relationships as it is having fun.”
