VACANCY FOR ARTS COORDINATOR, Mana College, 2023

Mana College is seeking an Arts Coordinator for 2023 and beyond. This administrative role supports the Visual and Performing Arts (including Art, Drama, and Music Departments) in their curricular and extra-curricular delivery.

This coordination will include; collating, mail merging letters and reports; maintaining inventories; organising trips to or visits from musicians, artists and theater companies, and booking accommodation/travel; event coordination such as Rockquest/Tangata Beats, Pasifika United and school concerts, art exhibitions, performances and drama productions.

This is a fixed, part-time position, up to 20 hours a week, term time only and ideally suits someone with administrative and personnel skills, computer literacy skills and an understanding and passion for the Arts. An awareness, knowledge and ongoing commitment to the community of Western Porirua, Te Ao Māori, Mātauranga Māori and the Treaty of Waitangi is essential.

Mana College was established in 1957 as the first college in the Porirua Basin. It is a state, co-educational school from Year 9-13. The roll currently comprises 63% Māori, 20% Pasifika, and 15% New Zealand European. The college is proud of its relationship with mana whenua, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, and its ongoing commitment to this partnership.
