SENIOR CURRICULUM
 

Mana College offers a variety of academic options (for University Entrance) and vocational courses to cater for the needs of all students.

Building Technology courses at Year 11, 12 and 13 run for two periods a day. Students enrolling in this course must attend both periods.

Service Academy is a full time programme at Year 11, 12 and 13. Students enrolling in this course will study other subjects within the Academy programme.

QUALIFICATIONS

NCEA LEVEL 1
Minimum of 80 credits required, including 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy.

NCEA LEVEL 2
A minimum of 80 credits is required, made up of:
60 credits at Level 2
20 credits at Level 1

NCEA LEVEL 3
A minimum of 80 credits is required, made up of:
60 credits at Level 3
20 credits at Level 2 or higher

UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE
A minimum of 42 credits is required, made up of:

14 credits at Level 3 (or higher) in any UE approved subject

14 credits at Level 3 (or higher) in a second UE approved subject

14 credits (or more) across two other UE approved subjects

At least 4 Level 2 (or higher) Literacy credits for WRITING

At least 4 Level 2 (or higher) Literacy credits for READING

14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 (or higher) in Mathematics

Universities also now require a Guaranteed Entry Score of 120 points, as well as UE.
